What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a proactive leader to oversee our ethical sourcing initiatives across Africa, with safeguarding experience with West and Central Africa where our raw materials come from. The ideal candidate will ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable children and families that survive from planting and processing the raw material we use in our supply chain. The ideal candidate must have experience in compliance with ethical standards, mitigate risks, and drive sustainable practices in the countries where we source our raw materials. You will work closely with suppliers, communities, and internal teams to align sourcing operations with Fluffy Crowns’ commitment to sustainability and excellence. You will be based in our HQ in Sweden and also undertake other responsibilities. Frequent travel is expected to West and Central Africa.

Job Description: Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability Lead
Key Responsibilities:
Ethical Sourcing Leadership:
Oversee ethical sourcing practices for raw materials across Africa, ensuring compliance with Fluffy Crowns AB’s ethical and sustainability standards.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with African suppliers and communities to foster trust and collaboration.
Conduct regular audits of supply chains to assess compliance with ethical sourcing policies and identify areas for improvement.
Sustainability Initiatives:
Develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with Fluffy Crowns’ mission to reduce environmental impact.
Promote sustainable agricultural and production practices within supplier networks.
Identify opportunities to integrate circular economy principles into sourcing and product development processes.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to international regulations, certifications, and industry best practices for ethical sourcing and labor practices.
Conduct risk assessments across sourcing regions and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to resolve any sourcing-related concerns.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary liaison between Fluffy Crowns AB and African suppliers, NGOs, and local communities.
Represent Fluffy Crowns AB in industry forums and sustainability events, advocating for ethical practices.
Provide training and capacity-building programs for suppliers to ensure alignment with ethical sourcing requirements.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Develop monitoring frameworks to track progress toward sustainability goals.
Produce detailed reports on ethical sourcing, compliance, and sustainability performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Use data insights to continuously refine sourcing and sustainability strategies.
Safeguarding:

o Conducted safeguarding audits and implemented compliance frameworks for talent development programs.
o Developed tools to assess and mitigate safeguarding risks in sports academies.
o Facilitated training workshops on ethical practices and complaint mechanisms.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any Art or Social Science field (Master’s degree preferred).
Over 5 years of experience working with NGOs and Community-based organizations in Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon, where our raw materials come from.
Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, safeguarding, ethical sourcing, and sustainability, with significant exposure to the African market.
Strong knowledge of international safeguarding standards.
Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or other African languages is a plus.

Qualifications Needed:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry, Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cosmetic chemistry, with a strong focus on using African raw materials.
Skills: Proficiency in organic raw material analysis, formulation chemistry, and product development. Strong understanding of the cosmetic industry, including trends and regulations.
